Paving company Nottingham

We have a specialist paving team who is well versed in groundwork activities. They ensure that a solid foundation is laid for whichever paving finish you decide on, to ensure you enjoy your outdoor area for many years to come
concrete paving
Concrete:
When we talk about concrete we generally mean concrete slabs rather than a pure concrete which does have much aesthetic appeal and is only ever really used as the final base layer for a shed or other outhouse. Concrete slabs are what we are likely to be most familiar with as most garden centres will have a reasonable selection. Often there will be timeless designs which remain year on year and then a selection of changing designs which will be a little more vogue for that season. The wide variety does allow you to be quite creative and unique in the way that you can mix and match colours and sizes. As mention in the decking section - concrete now also include wood-effect finishes to widen up your options even more.

Sandstone paving
Sandstone paving

Sandstone is a natural material, containing quartz or feldspar which contribute to its high weather resistance properties. Good quality sandstone shouldn't require sealing and is very durable, so is a great option for patios, paving and driveways where you can achieve an excellent finish at a competitive price.

Patio Layers

As you can see above and below there are many types of paving slabs  which can be used for patios. Some are more porous than other which means that the mortar mix used cannot be the same for all. it is important that up use experienced Patio layers to ensure your patio is constructed to allow suitable run away or water drainage and stays fixed!
granite paving
Slate paving & Granite paving:
Again as a natural material, slate paving provides a strong texture surface and are therefore very easy to clean as is granite. Whilst they are both only available in darker colours due their natural formation, when designed into right location, they can provide a impressive contemporary look to your garden.

marble paving stones
Marble paving:
Marble is available in a wide range of colours. Due to its smoother finish it provides an elegant high end look and feel. It is still a very durable material able to stand the movement of items and extreme weather conditions. Selecting the right colours and combinations can provide a stunning patio area.

curved block paving
Block paving:
Block pavers can come in a variety of sizes but are typically smaller and thicker than slabs, so are ideal for more intricate shaping. Different colour blocks can be used to create unique patterns or can be used to provide a different finished edge to larger paved areas with different materials. They are very durable, hence their popularity for driveways, however, should a brick get damaged it is a very simply process to replace

Porcelain tile paving
Porcelain tile paving:
Porcelain paving is growing in popularity for the same reason many people are choosing slightly more expensive materials - they end up being cheaper in the long run. In the same way composite fences, decking and artificial grass are becoming massively popular the same is happening with Porcelain tiling. Porcelain tiles are frost-resistant, very hard wearing and moisture resistant - making them very easy to maintain their striking good looks over time.
